Dr Sue Erica Smith is currently a Senior Lecturer in the College of Education at Charles Darwin University in Australia.
Her research interests are in meditation, social and emotional wellbeing, spirituality, Asian studies and Buddhism.
Buddhist voices in schools
She has published ‘Buddhist voices in schools: How a community created a Buddhist education program for state schools,’ (2013, Sense), and explores ethics from diverse perspectives in ‘A Difficult Dinner Party — Being Loved and Safe How Spirituality in Education Can Open Inclusive Practices (2014, Creative Approaches to Research).

Sue is currently engaged in a research project 3RITE: Race, Religion and Respect in Initial Teacher Education in Indonesia and Australia collaborating with two former PhD graduates from CDU.
