Associate Professor Kerstin Zander

Senior Researcher focusing Climate Change Economics

Be supervised by Kerstin

I hold a PhD in Environmental and Resource Economics from the Center for Development Research (ZEF) in Bonn, Germany. I love collecting and analysing data to find out what people prefer, what they think, what they do and what they intend to do. I have applied these methods in many fields, such as climate change impacts and adaptation, human migration patterns, the adoption of renewable energy systems or the social acceptance of conservation strategies. Results of my research often feed into policies and help to raise awareness of issues facing vulnerable groups of people.

Research interests:

  • Climate change adaptation
  • Human migration
  • Economic valuation
  • Natural resource management
  • Renewable energy
