Kamala Thriemer is a senior researcher and lecturer at the Menzies School of Health Research. Kamala is committed to public health and tropical medicine and has more than 10 years field experience in Africa and Asia, coordinating clinical trials to inform treatment of the management of infectious diseases.
Her current research at Menzies focuses on optimising the treatment of P. vivax and developing public health strategies for malaria elimination. Her research program spans from clinical trials to epidemiological studies and incorporating related aspects of health economics and social science. She has published in leading international journals such as PLOS Med and the Lancet.
