Dr Hamish Campbell is currently a Senior Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer in the School of Environment at Charles Darwin University.
Dr Campbell leads The Movement and Landscape Ecology Lab within the Research Institute for the Environment & Livelihoods (RIEL) at Charles Darwin University. His research is focussed on the study of animal movement, understanding where animals go and why they go there. The findings from Hamish’s research are used to better manage threatened wildlife and the impact of invasive species.
The lab experiments with a range of novel technologies to spy into the secret world of animals, including satellite tracking collars, underwater acoustic telemetry, and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (drones).
